How Map & Mingle is moderated, how to report, and how to appeal. Last updated: October 2, 2026.

What is screened automatically

Every photo is checked for explicit content and for a face that appears under 18 (refused; account paused for human review; the combination is treated as suspected child sexual abuse material and preserved as the law requires). Messages are checked before delivery: solicitation of commercial sex, paid-content platforms, prices and payment handles, a stated age under 18, threats and explicit language are refused with the reason shown; asks to move to another app, requests for money, investment pitches and pressure after a refusal are flagged to both people and queued for review.

Who reviews

The operator reads messages routinely using a daily review of flagged and sampled messages, as disclosed in the Privacy Policy, and reviews every report personally.

How to report

From any profile, pin or conversation choose Report, pick the reason (including "this person may be under 18"), describe what happened, attach a screenshot if you have one; you get a reference to follow at /report-status. Non-members email support@mapandmingle.com.

What a decision looks like

Every warning, suspension or ban is recorded with the rule broken, how we came to know, the date and the notice sent; the notice says all of that and how to appeal within 30 days. Records survive account deletion with the identity removed.

Appeals and complaints

Reply to the notice or email support@mapandmingle.com with its reference. A person decides appeals. Point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act: legal@mapandmingle.com. UK written assessments (illegal content risk assessment, children's access assessment, complaints procedure) are available to the regulator on request.
