Our community guidelines: what is allowed on Map & Mingle, what is not, and what happens when it isn't.
Last updated: October 4, 2026. Map & Mingle is a place for adults to meet people nearby — for dates, connections, friends, whatever both people want. These are the rules of the room.
Strictly Prohibited — Zero Tolerance
The following are absolutely prohibited on Map & Mingle. Each results in immediate, permanent removal on the first confirmed instance, with reports to law enforcement and NCMEC where required: child sexual exploitation or abuse of any kind, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM); sexual violence; sexual content of any kind, consensual or not, anywhere on the service, private albums and messages included; non-consensual intimate content, which is prohibited as sexual content and additionally reported to law enforcement; human trafficking, sex trafficking, and sexual exploitation; and scams or fraud intended to defraud users.
Everyone's Welcome Here
This app is for every adult — straight, gay, bi, pan, curious, trans and non-binary people, singles, couples, polyamorous people, and people in open or ethically non-monogamous relationships. What you tick under "open to" stays private to you. Nobody has to justify who they are or how they date.
Adults Only — No Child Sexual Exploitation or Abuse
Everyone here is 18 or older, no exceptions. Lying about your age is a permanent ban. Child sexual exploitation or abuse of any kind — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any sexual content involving anyone under 18 — is prohibited absolutely and reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.
Consent Comes First
An open first message is welcome; pressure after a no is not. Rejected, ignored, or blocked means that's the answer. No sexual content, asked for or not — see the section below.
Nothing for Sale — No Trafficking or Sexual Exploitation
Sex for money or anything of value is not allowed — no escorting, no paid content promotion, no "arrangements." Human trafficking, sex trafficking, and the sexual exploitation of any person are prohibited absolutely. One violation is a permanent ban, and trafficking and exploitation are reported to law enforcement.
No Sexual Content — Consensual or Not
All sexual content is prohibited on Map & Mingle, even if it is consensual: no nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit photos, video, text or messages, on profiles, in albums (private albums included), in messages, or on calls. Consent between the people involved does not make it allowed. Uploads are automatically screened and explicit images are rejected; explicit messages do not send.
Private Stays Private
Messages are private from other members, not from the operator. Every message is checked as it sends against these rules, and the operator — one person, the person who runs Map & Mingle — reads messages routinely, not only when something is reported, to enforce them and to meet the legal duty to report child exploitation. Every such review is itself recorded. Nobody else reads them, and they are never shared.
Never share someone's intimate photos, messages, or identity without consent. No outing anyone. Private albums are private from other members, not from moderation: a photo in a private album is visible only to people you grant access to, and, like every image here, it is screened automatically at upload and may be reviewed by a moderator against these rules. Nudity and sexual content are not allowed there either. When the line moves it moves for photos already here: on 2 September 2026 we tightened what counts as nudity, and photos uploaded under the older rule are re-checked against the current one and taken down if they no longer pass — with no warning recorded and nothing done to the account.
The Map Is Not a Tracking Tool
Locations are deliberately approximate. No triangulating, following, or showing up uninvited. Stalking gets you banned and reported.
Be a Real Person
Use your own recent photos; everyone in them must be an adult who agreed to be there. Faces are shown to members who show their own: until you have posted a photo, other members' photos are hidden from you, though you still see the map, who is nearby, their names and interests. A blurred face counts, and strangers only ever see the blurred version of yours. No impersonation, no catfishing, no bots, no duplicate accounts.
Meet Smart
First meeting in a public place, tell a friend, control your own ride, watch your drink, and leave if something feels off.
No Harassment or Hate
Zero tolerance. No hate speech or slurs, and no degrading anyone for their race, colour, ethnicity, nationality or immigration status, religion, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, marital status, language, body, or anything else they are — including going after someone for being poly, non-monogamous, kinky, trans, or a couple. No profile text that rules people out by who they are ("no Asians", "Christians only", "no trans"): it is refused when you save. Permanent ban on the first confirmed instance.
Keep the Conversation Here Until You've Met
"Let's talk on Telegram / WhatsApp instead" is the first move in almost every romance scam. A message asking someone to move to another app before you've met is flagged automatically, reviewed by a person, and both people see a notice on it. Asking several people, or doing it from a new account, is treated as recruitment and the account is removed. Once you've met in person, swapping numbers is your business.
Reporting
Report violations from any profile or conversation, or email safety@mapandmingle.com. Reports are confidential. In immediate danger, call local emergency services first.
No sexual violence or coercion
No threats of sexual violence, no pressure or coercion into sexual activity, no content that depicts or encourages it. Reports go to the front of the queue and to law enforcement.
No non-consensual content
Everything here is already prohibited as sexual content; it has its own section because doing it without consent is also a crime, and we report it. No intimate images of anyone taken or shared without consent, including altered or generated images; no photos of others without their agreement; no recording of calls or conversations without consent.
No scams or fraud
No asking members for money, gifts, gift cards, cryptocurrency or investments; no romance scams; no steering members off-platform for anything of value; no phishing.
